Description

THIS BOOK IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY ELVIS COLLECTOR – AND ALL ELVIS FANS!!!!

Elvis: An american Trilogy – Faith, Family, Friends takes readers beyond the stage lights, headlines, and larger-than-life image to explore the man behind the legend.

In this REVISED EDITION, Dennis W. Forbus examines Elvis Presley through three of the most important influences in his life: his faith, his family, and the friendships that helped shape his journey. The book looks at the personal side of Elvis, and starting even before there was an Elvis; going back in history to see exactly where his family came from, and when he was born.  What makes this book so unique is that Dennis wrote it in First-Person; so it’s almost like you’re walking beside Elvis himself throughout his childhood and yound adulthood, and he’s telling you all about where he was raised, how he was raised, and how the lessons throughout his childhood, allow him to be prepared to the pressures that came with worldwide fame, and the relationships that mattered beyond the spotlight.

This expanded edition also includes a new chapter addressing the circumstances surrounding Elvis’s death and separating long-repeated stories from a closer examination of what really happened by those that were there.

This book is much more than words; it is written for long-time Elvis fans as well as readers who want to understand more about the person behind the icon. Elvis: An american Trilogy offers a thoughtful look at the life, legacy, struggles, and enduring impact of one of the most recognized entertainers in World history.

This book is designed differently than any other Elvis book written. Written in First person, Elvis is taking you along for the journey through his childhood, all the way to the gates of Graceland, and even telling you the story that happened in his upstairs bathroom on the day he died. When the first edition of this book was released in August of 2014, it offered to the Elvis world so many fresh photos and interviews that had never been seen until then. Now, what has taken over 20 years to gather information, 4 years of traveling thousands of miles to verify the stories and photos you see in this book, with interviews from over 73 people that were reall folks that knew Elvis personally, and then 3 years to spend writing the words found within the covers. The original edition, introduced new people, and over 300 new and fresh photos to the Elvis world back in 2014. Today, it brings a new last chapter, revealing his real cause of death. Dennis updated the cover from the original for two reasons; because the original showed the book being Volume One, and after spending so much time on this one book, I decided to only release this one title. The other reason is to make the original stand alone, and the revised edition to look differently and with updates and corrections, and a look that appeals to today’s generations.
